Child Life Specialists
Child Life Specialists Provide:
- Preparation: offer information to patients
on an age-appropriate level to help them understand what will happen during
their visit.
- Distraction: to
help children cope with difficult or painful procedures.
- Support: to parents, as well as siblings before they
visit a patient. We advocate for the family's need to be involved, informed,
and take an active role in their child's care.
