Holter Monitor
This is a continuous portable EKG test. Similar to a
regular EKG, sticker patches are placed on your child's chest, which then attach
to a monitor that he carries with him. The monitor is about the size of a
portable walkman. Your child will wear the monitor for 24 hours and we suggest
regular activity during this time. You will need to record your child's
activities for the day in a diary. After the monitor is returned, a technologist
scans the EKG and the cardiologist then reviews the recordings.
