Pediatric Advanced Life Support Courses (PALS)
The PALS Provider Course is designed to prepare participants to identify and treat cardiopulmonary arrest and common conditions that may lead to cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.
Pediatricians, family physicians, emergency physicians, residents, nurses, respiratory therapists, and paramedical personnel.
The PALS Course will be held at the Children's Fitness Center Building: 7815 Farnam Drive, Omaha, Nebraska.
Directions: The new location is easily accessible and near the Rainbow House.
- If you are going west on Dodge Street (coming from 72nd Street), turn left onto N 78th St/Beverly Drive. Then turn left onto Farman Drive. The Fitness Center Building is on right.
- If you are going east on Dodge Street, turn right onto N 78th Street/Beverly Drive. Then turn left onto Farnam Drive. The Children’s Fitness Center Building will be on your right.
When you come to a PALS course, the main door will be locked. Someone will be at the door to let you in or ring the bell for assistance getting in.
Parking: There is parking available in the Fitness Center Parking lot.
PALS Update Course:
HeartCode PALS will now be offered for PALS Provider & Renewals. HeartCode consists of a 2 part course. HeartCode Part 1 is an online course which is followed by PALS skills Session classroom course. Both courses are required to obtain a PALS Course Completion card. The skills sessions will be held on the following dates and times at the Children's Fitness Center Building: 7815 Farnam Drive, Omaha, Nebraska.
You must provide proof of current PALS certification when you register. Cost for Children’s staff: $115.00 (includes HeartCode Part 1).
Cost for non-Children’s staff: $65.00 (does not include HeartCode Part 1). Once you register for your skills session, we will provide you with directions on how to obtain and complete HeartCode Part 1.
