Welcome Nursing Students & Interns

Standardized Online Orientation for Nursing Students for Children's Hospital & Medical Center

 
This website contains orientation information about Children's Hospital & Medical Center for you, the student, to complete. This online orientation has 6 modules. The first two modules are patient care information needed before coming to Children's Hospital & Medical Center. Module three contains information relating to observational experiences. Your instructor will tell you if you will be attending observational experiences.  Module four contains additional resources including a campus map, Helpful Hint page, and parking regulations. Module five contains computer use information.  Module six includes an evaluation (survey monkey link) to complete at the end of your clinical, a quiz, and confidentiality form (print out and return to your instructor or Preceptor on the first day of clinical.

Instructions:

After completing each module, you will need to print off the activity sheets, complete the activity sheets, and give the activity sheets to your instructor. Your instructor must have the module activity sheets prior to your first scheduled clinical day.

If you fail to complete this online orientation, you will not be able to provide patient care at Children's Hospital & Medical Center.  This online orientation is meant to prepare you for our most basic policies and practices.  You will also receive a live orientation to Children's Hospital and Medical Center from your Instructor or Preceptor once you arrive for clinicals.
