Questions & Answers
Why is Children's changing its name?
The new, contemporary corporate identity captures a look and feel that better reflects the Children's of today and the future. The name, Children's Hospital & Medical Center, more accurately represents the pediatric expertise provided by Children's and the enhanced opportunities for education, research and clinical care it provides.
Is it appropriate to abbreviate Children's Hospital & Medical Center?
On first reference, either written or verbal, please use Children's Hospital & Medical Center, complete with the ampersand (when written). For second references and in instances where the full name is not possible or practical, please use Children's. An acronym is not an appropriate abbreviation.
Is the name for Children's Physicians changing?
Children's Physicians will continue to offer the same compassionate and expert pediatric care and guidance under the same name; however, its logo will change. Children's Physicians is a close partner of Children's Hospital & Medical Center so its official brand will mirror that of the hospital.
When will signs at the hospital and pediatricians' offices change?
Some changes will be happening soon. Others will take place through the next few months, as weather permits.
How will the Children's Web site change?
The Web site for Children's Hospital & Medical Center has been completely redesigned to reflect the new identity. Please take a look at www.ChildrensOmaha.org.
