Understanding your child’s condition and treatment is key to your family’s peace of mind and your ability to make sound medical decisions for your child. That’s why we offer interpreter services for people who speak languages other than English and for the hearing impaired.

Interpreter Services at Children’s will provide on-site assistance. If an on-site interpreter is not available, we will provide access to telephone and/or video remote interpreting (VRI).

All interpreters are qualified to provide medical interpretation and language assistance in a healthcare setting. That means they’ve had special training to accurately translate your child’s medical information in your preferred language.

Make An Appointment

If you or your child need an interpreter, please request one when scheduling the appointment.

Interpreter Services We Offer

Interpreter services at Children’s are offered as part of our commitment to quality patient care. There is no cost to receive these services, which include:

  • Written materials provided in accessible formats (large print, audio, or electronic copies)

What To Do Next

Once your child is registered at Children’s, your preferred language will be recorded in their medical chart and their nurse can connect you with Interpreter Services.
