Each of our providers offers a free Get-to-Know-You visit to give you the chance to sit down one-on-one to decide if you’re a good fit for each other. A get-to-know-you visit is a free opportunity to casually meet a physician before scheduling well visits and sick visits down the road.

Treatments and Services
We have been recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. This means we focus care on the health of the whole child, including medical, behavioral and social needs. In addition to the extensive pediatric care available at each of our offices, Children’s Physicians is automatically linked to Children’s Nebraska and all associated pediatric specialists and sub-specialists. When your child is sick, you want help immediately. We offer several options depending on your needs.
Lactation Services
We offer the convenience of tele-lactation, allowing you to access our lactation consultants from the comfort of your home. Our lactation consultants are available to help moms feel more confident and relaxed with the breastfeeding process and can help with issues like:
- Finding the correct breastfeeding position
- Latching on
- Engorgement
- Sore nipples
Each of our lactation consultants is a registered nurse certified by the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants, the highest certification available for lactation consultants.

Urgent Care
Children’s Urgent Care Clinics are available for after-hours care when your child has an illness or injury that’s not serious enough for the emergency room but can’t wait until your Children’s Physicians office opens.
Urgent care hours in Omaha, Nebraska are:
- Weekday evenings from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Weekends and holidays from noon to 10 p.m.
The Children’s Physicians, Kearney office offers walk-in visits — no appointment necessary.
Of course, all questions or concerns can be addressed more specifically during your infant’s scheduled health care visits.
Children’s Connect Online Health Portal
Children’s Connect is our online health portal that allows you to schedule sick visits and well-check appointments online, day or night. With Children’s Connect, you can access your child’s test results, diagnoses, medications, growth charts, and immunization records at any time. Plus, you can message your child’s healthcare team when it’s convenient for you and fill out any paperwork needed for an upcoming appointment before you get to the office.
