Non-Urgent Well-Check Visits Suspended Starting March 23
In our continued efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep patient families safe, Children’s Physicians will be suspending all non-urgent well-check visits until July 1, 2020. This change goes into effect on Monday, March 23.
Urgent well-checks will continue to occur; however, these visits will only be scheduled during morning hours and will end by noon. The following urgent well-checks will continue to be scheduled:
- Newborn well-checks
- Well-checks for patients ages 18 months and younger
- Kindergarten and 7th Grade school physicals
- ADHD med-check visits
As we continue our efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep patient families safe, Children’s Physicians will only offer sick visit appointments in the afternoon (after 12 p.m.), starting Monday, March 23.
Saturday hours will consist of urgent well-checks until 10 a.m., and sick visits from 10 a.m. until noon.

Urgent Well-Check Visits
Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Scheduled Sick Visits
Monday – Thursday: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to noon
Hours Until March 22
Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – noon
- Evening extended hours for scheduled visits have been suspended for the time being.
- After-hour nursing line is available for patient questions.
Getting Here on Public Transportation
Take the Omaha Metro Route 4 or Route 24 bus to the 24th & Cuming stop.
Enter through the main entrance located to the left of the Children’s Physicians sign on the lower level. This entrance faces Cuming Street.
We offer the convenience of tele-lactation, allowing you to access our lactation consultants from the comfort of your own home. Our lactation consultants are available to help moms feel more confident and relaxed with the breast-feeding process and can offer assistance with issues like:
- Finding the right breast-feeding position
- Latching on
- Sore nipples
Each of our lactation consultants is a registered nurse certified by the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants, the highest certification available for lactation consultants.
Due to updates related to COVID-19, in-person lactation services will only be conducted in the mornings (before 12 p.m. on weekdays and before 10 a.m. on weekends) and must be scheduled ahead of time. In-person lactation services are available at Bellevue, Embassy Park, and West Pointe Village. Please call the specific office you’d like to visit to make an appointment for this service.
