Opportunities to Normalize the Environment

Child life creates developmentally appropriate play opportunities to aid in fostering your child’s development during hospitalization. Children’s Hospital & Medical Center’s child life specialists provide:
• Playrooms on medical/surgical inpatient floors, CARES pre-surgical unit, and the Infusion Center
• Developmentally appropriate toys and activities
• Play opportunities through volunteers and/or child life specialists
• Special activities

Special activities include:

• Hospital BINGO – every Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the Glow Auditorium
• Pet Therapy – every Thursday before noon for inpatients who meet the requirements
• Family Movie Night – every Friday at 5:45 pm in the Glow Auditorium
• Monthly themed events
• Special guests and visitors

* Activity times and dates are subject to change, sorry for any inconvenience.

* For the well-being of all, patients in any form of isolation for a contagious condition may not attend, and siblings of patients who have had a significant exposure to a contagious illness may not attend.
