My name is Donny Suh. I’m a pediatric ophthalmologist and adults strabismologist here at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center.
I got interested in ophthalmology because my mother had an eye problem when I was growing up, and this was very difficult for us to address and treat. I got interested in pediatric ophthalmology because of my amazing teachers who were extremely patient with me and who guided me.
We have an amazing, excellent team. We have two optometrists who work in the office who specialize in pediatric eye care — we also have a Visionmobile where we go to underserved areas, do eye exams on children, and provide glasses and medical care. The physicians also provide referrals if the patients need referrals to any specialists in the area.
Most of our patients are referred by pediatricians, family physicians, internists, optometrists, and ophthalmologists. After every single visit, the patient notes are also sent to the referring doctors.
I really, truly enjoy working with other doctors in collaboration to improve the care of our children.
