My passion as an intensivist is how to best move children from critical illness to returning home.  In line with this, my primary academic interest is in optimizing and how to best provide nutrition in critically ill children, and the impact of nutrition on clinical outcomes.  I am a member of the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury & Sepsis Investigators (PALISI) and the NutriNet subgroup, and served as site PI for the KIND Heart study evaluating intestinal barrier function in post-operative patient with congenital heart disease.
