I’m Rob Spicer. I’m the chief of cardiology at Children’s.
We’re having a tremendous amount of growth here, both physically, academically, educationally, scientifically, and clinically. I like helping people succeed in all of those areas.
I really do like seeing patients and that is what I’m most comfortable with. My area of sub-specialty concentration is advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation.
I love general cardiology and I trained in an era where our ears were our most important tool. I still think I have pretty good clinical bedside skills.
One of the things that I value, that I’ve tried to value for the 35 or 40 years that I’ve been doing this, is that the trust is justified — that when patients come, I expect them to trust me. I hope that I earn that trust and continue to earn it every time I interact with them.
