The Child Health Research Institute (CHRI), Children’s Center for Child & Community and its clinical partners have been selected as the Nebraska hosts of the “Healthy Early Roots & Origins” (HERO) Study out of the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University and the JPB Research Network on Toxic Stress. The study will be looking at indices of stress activation in the pediatric population through non-invasive biospecimen collection and a tablet-based behavioral measure obtained during pediatric office visits. The study will be looking to recruit up to 900 participants in the state of Nebraska across: Children’s Physicians locations in Omaha metro area and Kearney, as well as Complete Children’s Health in Lincoln.
