The Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Foundation was established in 1983 to support the hospital, raise awareness about our work, and manage and distribute funds to its premier pediatric services and programs.
Every gift you make to Children’s — no matter how large or small — creates the possibility of a safer, healthier future for our children. Your support helps the hospital provide needed medical care and support for children and their families.
We invite you to explore the many ways to give to Children’s and join our family of supporters!
One of the simplest ways to support Children’s is with a direct financial contribution to the hospital. Children’s Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. That means your donation is tax-deductible.
You can give securely with a credit card by using our Online Donation Portal.

Ways To Give: Support What Matters To You
Join a Giving Group: Scrubs & Heartstrings
The Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Scrubs Program offers business professionals and community leaders an opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at pediatric healthcare at Children’s. The experience will include the latest information in pediatric cardiology, NICU, Hematology & Oncology, surgical services, Specialty Pediatric Care Clinics, healthcare technology and more. The Scrubs Program was developed to give attendees experiences in various departments for a more comprehensive look at Children’s.
In appreciation for your participation in our Earn Your Scrubs Program, you will be presented with an embroidered scrubs top at the conclusion of the day’s program. The event is free to attend, however, advance registration is required and a waiting list may apply.
At the conclusion of your tour, you will be given an opportunity to make a philanthropic impact at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center as a Scrubs Ambassador. Our Scrubs Ambassadors are an dynamic group of enthusiastic supporters dedicated to safeguarding the future of pediatric healthcare in the region through annual contributions and advocacy. They are the newest generation of community leaders!
Participation as a Scrubs Ambassador is voluntary and not required, however, all those that participate are invited to exclusive Scrubs Alumni networking events throughout the year.
The Earn Your Scrubs program events are held throughout the year. An additional event is reserved for an exclusive Alumni Scrubs Ambassador Members-Only Social. Mark your calendar for the following Virtual Tour dates:
- Sept. 24, 2020, 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

Heartstrings is a dynamic giving circle of women who wish to learn more about the life-saving medical care at Children’s and support it through an annual gift which is pooled and granted by vote from the membership to a specific hospital program.
The membership includes three lunch and learn sessions that will each feature a core service line at Children’s, followed by an interactive tour of their department. Heartstrings members make a 100% tax-deductible donation of $500.
Some of the past projects funded by the Heartstrings giving circle include the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Behavioral Health Clinic, the Hematology/Oncology Clinic, the Eating Disorder Clinic and Project Austin.
Consider joining us as a 2017 member of Heartstrings. Your commitment and support will make a difference in the lives of children who find expert care and healing at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center. Together we can give the gift of childhood.
For more information about Heartstrings, please contact Nicky McCarville at 402-210-4304 or via Email email@example.com.
Sponsor Changing Lives Together Capital Campaign
Children are at the heart of who we are and everything we do. It is with them in mind that Children’s has launched the 5-year, $50 million “Changing Lives Together” Capital Campaign.
We believe this campaign has the power to improve the health and well-being of the smallest and sickest among us for generations to come — and to transform Children’s into one of the great epicenters of pediatric healthcare in the nation and in the world.
The “Changing Lives Together” Capital Campaign will support plans to expand Children’s main campus and regional presence, elevate pediatric critical care, and foster ground-breaking research.
Be Part Of Our Tree Of LifeThe Tree of Life is a unique display in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) lobby to celebrate those who donate to the NICU renovation project. Make a $150 donation to purchase a leaf on the tree.
To inscribe your leaf with a customized message, leave the specific text in the “Notes” field. Each donor leaf can accommodate up to 3 lines of type with 15 characters, including spaces, per line.
Establish A Named EndowmentA named endowment or facility means that your legacy, or the legacy of a loved one, will live on for years into the future. Children’s has many opportunities for naming departments, clinics, endowed chairs, fellowships, and programs. All of these offer life-saving support to children.
Give A Gift Of GratitudeA Gift of Gratitude says thank you to a caregiver who goes above and beyond for your child. It’s a donation and a way to give special recognition to that person who made a difference in your child’s life at a time when they needed it most. Please specify the caregiver you’d like to thank in the Tribute section of the form.
For more information, contact Suzanne Rogert, Director of Development at (402) 955-6999 or firstname.lastname@example.org
